Hello My Loves!
Ladies, how many of you are tired of having those days where your lip color looks gorgeous when you leave the house, and you find yourself having to constantly reapply a throughout the day? I would be running my errands for the day. A couple of hours later, I need to reapply my lipstick. OMG, I hate that!!!!! Lets not talk about what happens if I forgot my lipstick at home and can’t reapply……incomplete makeup is not the business!
Do you have that same problem? Guess what, it stops today! I have a great step-by-step way of helping you maintain your gorgeous lip color throughout the day without having to reapply.
Step 1: Exfoliate your lips. You can use a toothbrush and a little vaseline to scrub away the dead skin on your lips, or you can use my favorite method and use a lip scrub. I will include a couple of lip scrub recipes at the end of this post.
Step 2: Prep your lips by applying your favorite lip balm to moisturize your lips. Let it sink into your lips for a few minutes. You can take this time to complete the rest of your makeup routine, if you like.
Step 3: Fill in your lips. Take a lip liner that closely matches your natural lip color and fill in your lips completely. This will create a thick layer between your lips and the lip color you will apply. It gives your lip color something to adhere to. The reason you should use a lip liner closest to your lip color is to prevent contrast between your lip liner and your chosen lip color.
Step 4: Apply your lip color, blot with a folded piece of tissue paper or paper towel, and apply another layer of your lip color. This alone can make your lip color last little longer, but we want it to last ALL DAY!
Step 5: Finally, take some translucent powder and lightly dust it over your lip color.
That’s it! You are done, ladies. Your lip color will last so incredibly long, you can leave you lipstick at home.
Simple and amazing, right?! Your lip color will look too dye all day long. Give it a try.
